TAG Heuer Chronograph

The new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph models strike a perfect balance between advanced watchmaking technology and unprecedented refinement at the cutting edge of horological innovation.

To mark the brand’s 160th anniversary this year, the TAG Heuer Carrera collection welcomes yet another addition – this time, the iconic chronograph features an elegant design reminiscent of historic models with a touch of modern flair. These four chronographs have a refined and modern look inspired by the pure style that first made the TAG Heuer Carrera iconic. Contemporary elegance inspired by the original TAG Heuer Carrera. The sophistication of this reinterpreted TAG Heuer Carrera comes from its sleek stainless-steel bezel, which has been designed without a tachymeter scale to keep the overall aesthetics in line with the unforgettable silver-dial Heuer Carrera that was originally launched in 1963. This stunning 42 mm timepiece maintains its chronograph functionality with two push buttons and subdials.

Available in opaline black or sunray brushed blue, anthracite and silver, the dial features “azurage” subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock and a running small-second counter at 6 o’clock above a discreet date window. The beating heart of this timeless TAG Heuer Carrera is the brand’s proprietary movement, the Calibre Heuer 02. The models with black and blue dials are presented on a streamlined H-shaped stainless-steel bracelet. The angles of the outer and inner links are rounded for a more fluid appearance and the bracelet is thinner for improved comfort. The bicoloured version with a silver-coloured dial and rose-gold-plated hands and the model with a deep anthracite dial are paired with a handsome brown alligator leather strap. The screw-down sapphire caseback provides a fascinating view of the innovative movement inside, made even more exclusive by its rose-gold-coloured oscillating mass.

Exceptional performance thanks to the Calibre Heuer 02 manufacture movement

The TAG Heuer Carrera line has always featured the most advanced watchmaking technology developed by the brand. The redesigned models are powered by the Calibre Heuer 02 movement, which is visible through the transparent caseback. This sophisticated in-house innovation is entirely Swiss-made in TAG Heuer’s Chevenez manufacture.

A history of unequivocal elegance

It comprises 168 components, including a column wheel and a vertical clutch – signatures of improved chronograph timekeeping and high-quality manufacture movements – and boasts an impressive power reserve of 80 hours.

Former TAG Heuer CEO Jack Heuer dedicated himself to the intensive study of industrial design, which heavily influenced the DNA of his most beloved collection and has shaped the design and construction of all TAG Heuer Carrera models since 1963.

With these new reinterpreted models, the flowing and elegant touches that sparked Jack Heuer’s interest decades ago are more apparent than ever. The uncluttered three-dimensionality of the original dial with its three subdials made it easy to read at a glance and was a truly groundbreaking design at the time – and it is now echoed on these signature innovations.
